Being billed as the largest hyrdo-lift on Lake Cumberland and quite possibly the entire country, State Dock has just added a much needed piece of equipment for houseboat repair at the marina.
Measuring in at 26′ wide and 125′ long, this amazing piece of engineering will have a lifting capacity in excess of 250,000 lbs.
State Dock has had a lift for many years and often used it to keep the houseboat rental fleet maintained as well as rent it out to private boat owners. However, it was limited to the weight capacity it could lift, making the larger boats in the fleet only being able to be repaired by pulling them out of the water with a semi-truck on a ramp.
According to Bill Jasper, president of State Dock, “We should be able to pick up the largest houseboats on the lake including double-deckers.”
The lift will be perfect for houseboat owners who need to have hull work done or any type of engine repair work that would normally require pulling the boat out of the water.
State Dock is already scheduling lift service for this coming summer. If you forsee needing the lift for your boat, you may want to go ahead and reserve a spot for your boat as available dates are already being taken.
To schedule a lift and/or service, please contact Matt Thorn at service@statedock.com or (270) 566-8137. Whether you use our mechanic or your own, State Dock will help pick you up!
