On-Water Houseboat Expo this Weekend

Houseboat Expo at State Dock

A New August Tradition continues as the On-Water Expo returns to Lake Cumberland.

The National Houseboat Expo is once again relocating to the water for the third annual On Water Expo at State Dock on Lake Cumberland. The Kentucky marina is the ideal host and this popular show is quickly becoming a new tradition for a lot of houseboaters.

For three days, starting August 26th, attendees will once again be able to look at the latest houseboats in the industry, plus check out some used versions of near-new houseboats as well.

Houseboat Expo at State DockAnd that’s not including the countless vendors and exhibitors that will also be on hand to cover your houseboating needs with products and services. Throw in a couple of seminars and an on-dock poker run and we feel we now have the blueprint for a fun-filled weekend.

“This is a great opportunity for attendees to experience houseboating as it is,” Greg Larsen, Expo producer, said.

While traditional houseboat shows are indoors, the On-Water Expo takes interested parties to the dock to see exactly what the houseboating lifestyle is like.  Being on Lake Cumberland and on State Dock visitors can get a true lake on-the-water experience and what the boating lifestyle is all about. The latest houseboat models from all the major manufacturers will be parked at the marina, in the water and ready to be toured from bow to stern.

Whether you are a seasoned boater or a newcomer to the boating world, there is something for everyone.  Vendors from all over will be on hand showing off the latest in boating and water sport accessories.

There are also some very informative free seminars planned such as All You Need to Know About Houseboating A-Z and Captain’s Course – Learn How to Do It Right.  These seminars are great for vets and newbies alike.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Expo Poker Run with over $4,000 worth of prizes to be given away!  And you don’t even have to leave the dock.  All the cards are picked up throughout the Expo.
